Why we built CloseLoom

The CloseLoom team · · 2 min read

CloseLoom started with one team: the salespeople at Hostings House in Lahore. Their day is calls in the morning, visits in the afternoon, and more calls from the car in between. Very little of it happens at a desk.

Every CRM we tried assumed the opposite. It wanted the rep to come back to a laptop and type up what had happened — the call, who picked up, what they said, the shop they visited and when. By evening most of that was a guess, and the manager’s picture of the day was whatever people remembered to enter.

Start from the phone

So we started from the phone the rep already carries.

  • A call to a lead is logged by the call itself. The app notices the call ended and asks for the outcome while it is still fresh. The rep taps one answer instead of typing a report.
  • A visit is a check-in. The rep checks in at the client’s place, the app records where and when, and photos are taken in the app.
  • No signal is not a problem. The app works offline and catches up when the phone finds a network again — which, on the road, matters more than any feature.

A day a manager can trust

When the record of the day is made as the day happens, a manager can read it without second-guessing it: calls and visits per rep, targets against what was done, the leads nobody has touched, and a daily report that arrives on its own.

None of this is about watching people. Everything a company phone can capture beyond calls and visits with its own leads — every call, texts, recordings, location — is off until the company turns it on, and then waits for the rep to agree on the phone. We wrote down why on our security page.

Built with the team that uses it

Our own reps were the first to carry it, and much of what CloseLoom does came from watching them use it. If your team works the same way, start a trial or ask us for a walkthrough.
